Your library can contain card images, recognized contact details, custom fields, notes, tags, folders, and meeting dates and places. CardsMate stores these on your device so you can manage your connections.

Text recognition uses Apple’s on-device frameworks. Optional Apple Intelligence features also process your cards on your device and require a compatible device. CardsMate does not send your cards to a developer-operated AI service.

When you enable iCloud sync in a supported build, your library syncs through your private iCloud database. Apple operates iCloud under your Apple account settings and Apple’s privacy policy. You control the sync setting in CardsMate.

• Camera and Photos: used when you scan or choose a card image. Saving camera captures to Photos is optional.
• Contacts: used to look for an existing contact or save details you explicitly select. CardsMate asks before creating or updating a contact.
• Location: optional, to remember where you created a card. You can edit or remove the saved place. If access is denied or unavailable, the place remains empty.

You can change permissions at any time in your device’s system settings.

Embedded maps and place searches use Apple Maps and send the requested address or map region to Apple. Phone, email, website, and address links open the app or site you select. Those services follow their own privacy practices.

You choose when to export a card, save a contact, or share an image. Exported archives may include card images, contact details, and notes, so keep them somewhere private.

Recently Deleted lets you recover removed cards until you explicitly delete them permanently. Permanent deletion syncs across your devices when iCloud sync is enabled. Deleting a card does not delete a contact you previously saved in Apple Contacts.

All features remain free. Optional tips are handled by Apple’s App Store. TestFlight is operated by Apple and may process beta feedback and diagnostics under its own terms. If you send feedback, include only the information you want to share.

This website includes no advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies, or signup forms. Its hosting service may process ordinary request information to deliver and secure the site. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
